Spider-Man: Homecoming Lego Set Reveals More About The Movie

Spider-Man: Homecoming has a couple of new Lego sets based on the upcoming film. We got a look at the “Beware The Vulture” set, and elements of this set may reveal a few things about the new movie, as previous Marvel movie sets have given details like character names and minor story elements.

The new set, which costs $40, contains four mini-figures and a truck with hidden advanced weaponry. Here is what you can find inside the box, starting off with a couple reveals for the film.

The set revolves around the Shocker’s van, which includes his minifigure. The focus of the trailers has been on Vulture, and his battle with Spider-Man; however, it’s been noted that Bokeem Woodbine (Fargo) will be playing Herman Schultz/Shocker #2, according to his IMDb page.

Aside from learning that Shocker will have somewhat of a role in this film, Schultz is Shocker #2, so that must mean someone came before him, unless it’s an error on IMDb.

Shocker’s truck contains some boxes with stickers on them that read “DODC.” In the international trailer, it’s revealed that Vulture (Michael Keaton) cleaned up the city after the Battle of New York in Avengers. Many fans assume, he was working for Damage Control, the Marvel Comic team that cleans up after superhero battles. Because of this, we’re thinking “DODC” stands for “Department of Damage Control.”

The final reveal, which isn’t as big as the other two, involves Iron Man. You can see the character above, but when you take his helmet off, he doesn’t have a normal head.

He has a clear, blue head in its place. This could mean that Tony Stark is not in the Iron Man suit during his battles. He may be flying it remotely, which we’ve seen him do in previous films.

As for the rest of “Beware the Vulture,” the set contains 375 pieces, two instruction booklets, and a minicomic. Putting this set together will take roughly an hour.

Spider-Man comes with a couple of webs that shoot out of his hands when pressed.

The Vulture comes with his wings, which are detachable.

Underneath the helmet is Vulture’s face. There isn’t a hair piece to replace the helmet with.

The Shocker’s truck has a lot of interesting features.

The back opens up to reveal a gun, which can be pulled upward.

The gun actually works, firing the purple studs loaded into it.

The back of the truck holds the DODC boxes, as well as a couple weapons for Shocker.
