Update 1.2 has been released for the racing game, delivering two new features for free. The first of these is a Time Attack mode, which is pretty straightforward, allowing you to compete for the best single-lap times on individual tracks.
The other addition is online friend support. This introduces a new option to the Multiplayer menu allowing you to join an online match that limits the competition to people you’re friends with. The existing online multiplayer mode opened the game up to all players, which was one of the gripes raised in our review. Like that mode, this one is limited to 2-8 players.
The F-Zero-esque Fast RMX was among the Switch’s launch games. While it wins the crown of best racing game on Switch by virtue of being the only one available (at least until Mario Kart 8 Deluxe next week), it is a fun, fast-paced racer. You can read more about it in GameSpot’s review.
